Wondering who’s behind Germ Buffer?
I’m Braden and I hate germs. Who was the only kid who carried hand sanitizer in their lunch box? *hand up*
It was me.
But let’s back up.
I’m 17 and was eager to graduate in May 2020 until COVID-19 changed everything. With the extra time available, I wanted to do my part to help make shopping safer.
How it all started?
Shopping is essential…
It all started with a sign. No kidding. One that read:
“Out of sanitation wipes. Sorry :(“
This was at a store after wipes and hand sanitizer were nowhere to be found.
I carried hand sanitizer with me but other shoppers were exposed to the germ-ridden cart handles.
That wasn’t going to flatten the curve.
Just as some people were protecting themselves with face coverings, I thought a “covering” for the cart would be another effective tool to fight this pandemic.
But it’s not just about COVID-19.
Germs lurk on shopping carts all the time and putting a buffer between your hands and germs is always a great idea.
Who wants the flu? Or even the common cold? Let’s not talk about fecal matter.
And another advantage…
We’re trying to reduce our ecological footprint, right? Consume less and be more environmentally friendly.
The Germ Buffer is washable, reusable, and chemical-free. No longer do we have to take a chemical-infused wipe just to throw it away in the trash. There’s now an alternative that protects you AND the environment.
